Just a tad cheaper than their Dr. Dre counterparts

Beats by Dr. Dre may finally get some competition as Bose has taken a page from the success of the music producer and came out with its own hip-looking pair of on-ear headphones.

Bose is making these available in white as well as in black and offers its customers two models from which to choose from: the OE2 and OE2i.

Just like their names, these are both pretty similar as the only difference is the presence of an in-line remote and microphone with full Apple compatibility, in the appropriately named i-version of the headset.

The added functionality also comes with a higher price tag as the OE2i is priced at $180 (130 Euros), compared to the $150 (109 Euros) of its sibling.

At these prices, these are just a tad cheaper than Dre's Solo on-ears, which isn't such a good reason to give up on Beats' deafening bass-response come to think of it. (via Gizmodo)
