Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is going to receive a Season Pass, allowing owners of the game cheaper access to all four expansions for the game, which include new characters, missions, and much more.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set to debut this fall around the world and developer 2K Australia, together with franchise founder Gearbox Software, are currently putting the finishing touches on the final game, while moving onto the creation process for the different expansions set to appear for The Pre-Sequel.

The two studios have now confirmed that all the expansions can be purchased as part of a Season Pass for a discount.

According to the development teams, the four major expansions are going to include new characters, missions, as well as fresh story experiences, in classic Borderlands style.

"The four add-on content packs will encompass new characters, challenges, missions, and experiences. As Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel nears completion and the team shifts its focus to add-on content, additional details will be announced as development progresses," the two studios said.

The four different expansions for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will each be sold for 10 USD/EUR. However, the Season Pass is going to be sold for just 30 USD/EUR, leading to a save of quite a few dollars or euros, depending on the region.

The actual Season Pass is going to go on sale right when Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set to launch, meaning October 14, in North America, and October 17, in Europe and the rest of the world.

Bear in mind that the Season Pass won't include all the different DLC packs for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The two companies confirmed that, for example, the pre-order bonus Shock Drop Slaughter Pit add-on for the Pre-Sequel won't be included in the DLC bundle.

"Taking place in an old Dahl facility on Pandora's moon, players will meet TR4-NU, who once was one of Dahl's military recruiters until he went crazy. TR4-NU is now hosting the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit and giving awesome loot to those who succeed against the moon's toughest enemies. The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit will not be included in the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, but it will be available for purchase at a later date, for those who do not pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel."

Look forward to hearing more about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and its different expansions as we get closer to the October launch of the game and the Season Pass.
