The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is about to become overrun by PC gamers

In the past two months, a whole lot of good games have graced us with their presence, and Borderlands is one that has managed to stand out from the day it was released. The halfspawn of the first-person shooter genre and the role-playing game, Borderlands has proven to be an enthralling and immensely enjoyable experience. While some bugs and nags rattled the game, it was pretty obvious that players would want more and more from it, so a DLC was in the making as soon as the title was out the shipping door.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was released on consoles a few weeks ago, and the walking dead-infested cove turned out to be just as enjoyable, if not even more so, than the original levels of the game. But it took longer for the PC version of the downloadable content to be made available, so, while controllers were being mashed to restore order to Jakobs Cove, the gamers' mice and keyboards were being put to use in other titles.

Well, today, the wait finally came to an end, and Gearbox has made Dr. Ned and his necromantic monstrosities available for the PC on its own online distribution counter, as well as on Steam. The DLC is priced at $9.99 and it will finally have PC gamers up and about, hacking zombies down at the knees.

DLCs aren't the only things installed for Borderlands, as, not so long ago, we saw that Gearbox Software, overjoyed with the success of the game and the reception players across all platforms gave it, was already drawing the first plans for Borderlands 2. Until that's ready, we can all huddle together on the zombie island, and dish out divine punishment on the cursed inhabitants with assault rifles, snipers, SMGs and bear fists, until they'll fill our inventory with a billion weapons.
