Works perfect other than a few driver issues...

When Apple released the latest version of its Boot Camp software, it was not immediately clear what the improvements that had been made were. However, as reports start popping up all over the web, it seems that the big change was Vista-related.

The new Vista Pre-RC1 build (5536) has been successfully installed on the new Intel based Macs. While this is not exactly earth-shattering news as there have been previous successes in this area, the way this is done is what everyone is writing home about. Using Boot Camp 1.1, Vista can be installed just like its Windows XP SP2. The procedure is exactly the same and there is no additional tweaking? it just works. The only hiccup is that currently the iSight and the Apple keyboard will not install from the drivers provided by the Boot Camp software, however, some have reported that they managed to get them working after extracting the individual drivers from the package.

Vista is reported to be working very well on the machines, with all the bells and whistles of Aero working perfectly on a MacBook Pro and even on a MacBook. It looks like all the new Macs are 'Vista Ready' and will be able to run it just fine. The driver issues that users are currently experiencing will no doubt be worked out until Vista is actually released.
