14 DAY TRIAL // That a Whitney Houston biopic will eventually get made, farther down the road, can't come as a shock to anyone. However, reports have it that it's already in the works – and it's being shopped around town by none other than Bobby Brown.
Radar Online has learned from unnamed sources who claim to be well familiar with the situation that Whitney's estranged ex-husband has already written a script for the film.
Even more, he also has a very good idea about who will be perfect for the part – and it's his own daughter with the singer, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina, or Krissi.
“Bobby Brown has put pen to paper, written a script about his tumultuous life and is now shopping it to Hollywood studios. Bobby would even like his 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina to appear in the movie,” Radar writes.
As per the same report, the idea is not new. In fact, Bobby Brown has been working on it last year but there were no takers to his offer at the time.
“The Bad Boy of R&B: The Bobby Brown Story” was the initial name of the project, but chances are it will be renamed to make it more about Whitney and her relationship with Bobby.
“After the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston on February 11, Bobby and his writing partner Michael Pinckney have had renewed attention to the project,” Radar writes.
“The script’s ending will now have to be re-written to include the untimely death of the Bodyguard star, a source tells us. But the remainder of the story will stay the same as the former couple’s volatile marriage is only 'lightly touched' on in the script,” adds the same report.
Radar says that a nationwide search will determine who will play the “bad boy of R&B,” with Bobby traveling the country on a “Who’s going to play Bobby Brown” casting mission.
