Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only daughter, no longer wants to be associated with her dad. As such, she's decided to ditch his name and go only by Houston, says a new report.

Shortly after her interview with Oprah, the first time she talked about her mother's death since it happened, aired, word got out that Krissi was getting ready for even more major changes in her life.

TMZ reports that she's tired of the association with her estranged father, Bobby Brown, and has decided to go only by her mother's name.

“Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown can't stand her name because of its association with her father Bobby Brown – and now, TMZ has learned, she wants to change it all together,” the celebrity e-zine writes.

This isn't just a spur of the moment thing either: Krissi has been planning this all along.

“Bobbi Kristina is telling friends she's wanted to change her name for years – ever since her parents split – but Whitney wouldn't let her,” TMZ claims.

“Now that Whitney's gone, we're told the 19-year-old feels untethered – and wants to finally change her name completely... making it simply 'Kristina Houston',” adds the report.

The decision to change her name could have a lot to do with Krissi's decision to follow in her mother's footsteps by launching a career in showbiz, as she told Oprah in the interview.

Right now, the teen is still grieving for her mother, whom she calls her best friend in the world, but, sooner or later, she will move on with her plans to take over from where Whitney left off.

“I have to carry on the legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing……It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it,” she told Oprah, as we also informed you earlier today.

TMZ notes that there's no estimated date for when Krissi might legally change her name.
