Nick Gordon, the man Bobbi Kristina Brown called her “husband,” and her live-in boyfriend for the past 3 years or so, since the death of her mother Whitney Houston, is now being investigated for attempted murder. Last week, he taped his first interview on the topic.

Since January 31, Bobbi Kristina (Krissi) has been in a medically induced coma, after she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of their Georgia home. The theory that she accidentally drowned and / or OD’ed turned into suspicion of foul play when it was discovered that she had injuries on her body that could not be accounted by the way she was found.

Nick Gordon won’t talk to the police, but will do a TV interview

Because Gordon was in the house with her at the time of the “drowning,” it is believed that he may have had something to do with it, especially since witnesses have told the police that his and Krissi’s relationship would often turn violent because he was jealous.

As it happens, Nick and Krissi grew up together, because Whitney took him in when he was still a child. She never filed papers for adoption for him, but she considered him her son. So when he and Krissi became romantically involved after the singer’s death, even close family members felt it was a very inappropriate thing to do, resembling incest.

He is now the primary suspect in an ongoing attempted murder investigation, Krissi’s aunt Leolah Brown says in a post on her Facebook. He should not get the chance and the platform to try and defend himself when he’s not even cooperating with the police, let alone talk to her family to offer them some insight into what happened that night.

In the post, which reads like an open letter to Dr. Phil, Leolah wants the TV personality to reconsider airing the pre-taped episode: it’s simply not right to have someone as fishy as Gordon get to win the public over to his side when he might have played such a sinister role in Krissi’s current condition.

Nick Gordon is off to rehab

In a press release sent out over the weekend, CBS mentioned that, more than getting Gordon to open up, Dr. Phil managed to successfully stage an intervention for him, sending him straight to rehab after the taping.

In the preview embedded below, Gordon is seen crying about how much he misses Krissi and Whitney, and about wanting them back “so badly,” while his mother is also weeping profusely. Dr. Phil tells him that he needs to go to rehab because he’d been drinking too much, at which Gordon loses his cool and apparently storms off.

As of now, he is in rehab, where he is receiving treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, and depression. He is still to agree to be interviewed by the police, and as per rumors online, he’s not seen Krissi once since she was hospitalized because her father, Bobby Brown, has banned him from the hospital.
