14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Irrational Games is ready to announce the names of the three players who have won the Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes for BioShock Infinite, which means that their names will be featured in the second episode of the Burial at Sea downloadable content.
The company says that thousands of fans of the title managed to complete all 60 challenges, which means that a random number generator was required to pick the three that would appear in the game: Michael Ramsey, Cory Stoehr and Oliver Hong.
The studio also thanks all other gamers who were dedicated enough to compete in the Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes.
The official blog from Irrational Games also offers info on how the three names were integrated with the game, saying that, "we’re proud to reveal the location: inside Andrew Ryan’s Preparatory Academy, with all three winners showcased as Ryan’s Lions of the Week. It’ll be hard to miss this in-game, as all players will walk through the Preparatory Academy during their main journey in Burial at Sea – Episode Two."
The new DLC will be offered on March 25 and will allow fans of BioShock Infinite to once more roam the underwater city of Rapture before its downfall, this time in the body of Elizabeth.
The unique powers of the character will make players able to move around undetected or unleash devastating powers while using an array of new weapons.
Burial at Sea is the last piece of DLC that will be offered for BioShock Infinite and after it is launched, Irrational Games will be closed down.
Leader Ken Levine says that he, along with a small number of his closest collaborators, will set up a new studio inside Take Two that will aim to create a new type of game experience, built around complex narratives that are also highly replayable.
