Blu Products has expanded its lineup of affordable Android-based devices with two more handsets this week, namely the Life Play X and Life Play S, both of them made official with 4.7-inch screens.

The new Life Play X will hit shelves with a HD 720 x 1280 pixels touchscreen, a Full Lamination Scratch Resistant Touch Panel, while being powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

The new smartphone also features an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls, as PhoneArena notes.

Furthermore, it comes with 1GB of RAM inside, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage.

The new mobile phone sports a Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery inside, measures 137 x 68.4 x 7.9 mm, and weighs 125 grams. It will arrive on shelves in Sleek Black, featuring a price tag of $219 (€161).

The new Blu Life Play X runs under the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the same as the Life Play S does. The latter, however, is less powerful, and costs only $199 (€146).

The second new handset in Blu Products’ Play series sports the same 4.7-inch HD 720 x 1280 pixels screen as the Life Play X, but is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor.

The phone features 1GB of RAM, as well as 4GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, it packs an 8-megapixel camera, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, while also featuring a 5MP camera on the front, great for making video calls while on the go. It was announced with a Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery.

Both new smartphones come to shelves with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities, as well as with Wi-Fi Hotspot, micro-USB ports, and GPS receivers inside.
