After announcing earlier this month that Bloodborne is coming out in Japan on February 5, Sony and From Software have just revealed that the long-awaited PS4 exclusive role-playing game is going to make its debut in North America and Europe on February 6, while showcasing its collector's edition, a fresh trailer, and some great screenshots.

Bloodborne was confirmed to the world back at E3 2014 this summer, when Sony finally revealed that prestigious Japanese developer From Software, the creator of Demon's Souls or the Dark Souls titles, was working alongside Sony Japan on a new challenging RPG, this time with a more gothic theme, instead of the medieval one seen in past experiences.

At Gamescom 2014 in August, the two companies showcased some more gameplay and promised big surprises for the Tokyo Games Show 2014, which takes place this week.

A release date for Western markets is finally available

During Sony's pre-TGS 2014 press conference, Bloodborne got a release date for Japan of February 5, and now, during the actual trade show, a launch day for Europe and North America has been confirmed, in the form of February 6.

The reveal was made by Sony on its PS blog, hyping up the challenging RPG and all its many features ahead of its release in early 2015.

"We’re happy to announce that fans will be able to experience Bloodborne’s unique blend of gothic horror, terrifying enemy designs, fast-paced offensive combat (complete with brutal transforming weapons), RPG character customization and progression, and unique online features on Friday, February 6, 2015, exclusively on PS4."

Fans can also get a Collector's Edition

Besides the regular game, on February 6 a special Collector's Edition is also going to be made available, which includes the actual title, a special Steelbook collector's case, an art book, as well as the soundtrack.

"We’re also happy to reveal the Collector’s Edition for Bloodborne, also available on February 6th, 2015, which will include a special Steelbook collector’s case, an exclusive premium art book featuring stunning concept art from the game, as well as the complete soundtrack featuring all of the haunting music from the game’s score."

A new video and some screenshots show off the RPG in action

Last but not least, in order to convince fans to pre-order the game, a special video and a few screenshots from the new RPG have gone live, so check them out below.
