The development team at Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive are ready to offer a first video look at the gameplay included in the coming Blood Bowl 2, with a focus on the human team of the Reikland Reavers as they demonstrate the basic moves gamers will need to master to perform well.

The players included in the mix of classic American football action and fantasy created by Games Workshop will be able to learn no less than 75 skills and gamers will have to find the best moment to deploy them when there's a chance to change the course of the match.

The human team in Blood Bowl 2 is designed for maximum adaptability, and that means its players will be able to run the ball, pass to a teammate or try to simply beat the other team into submission.

This advantage also means that those who choose the humans will be unable to master any core element of the game and that more specialized teams can gain the upper hand by playing to their own strengths.

The first full gameplay video for Blood Bowl 2 is designed to reveal the way the new game engine will accurately reflect the mechanics of the title, but also how animations, dynamic cameras, the commentary and the crowd will be used to create an atmosphere that encourages players to try to win each engagement.

The game also has an entirely new website which offers more details on what gamers can expect when the full experience arrives.

Blood Bowl 2 will be more accessible than its predecessor

The developers at Cyanide are aiming to deliver a game which is easier for gamers to understand and play, with only eight races offered initially.

Each of them will have more potential skills and moves than in the original title and gamers will have to spend time in order to unlock the true potential of each.

Blood Bowl 2 will get more races after launch, but the companies in charge of it have not decided if they will sell them or if all will be introduced for free to the fans.

The game is also designed with a new interface and with a simpler control scheme.

Blood Bowl 2 will be launched during spring on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
