Users will still have the option to revert to the old version, but only for a limited time

Blogger has been undergoing quite a transformation this year. It debuted a brand new dashboard a couple of months back, the biggest evolution to date. It started out slow, enabling users to check out the new look and get accustomed to it, without forcing it on anyone.

It's now moving to get more people upgraded to the new dashboard, though, and Blogger will be enabling it for everyone in a couple of weeks.

Users will still be able to switch back to the old interface, but everyone has to make the switch to the new dashboard at least once.

"Since [August], millions of you have opted to try it out, and we’ve received tens of thousands of feedback submissions," Chang Kim, Product Manager at Blogger, wrote.

"Based on that feedback we’ve fixed a number of bugs, including design updates, Safari compatibility for the iPad, and tweaks to scheduling posts," he boasted.

The progress so far has been enough for Blogger to feel confident about enabling the new interface for everyone. While many people have already checked out the new look, many haven't.

The idea is to give everyone a chance to see what they're missing out on. Most people may have simply been unaware that there is a new version or they had no desire to see what it's about.

With Blogger making the switch for them, most will probably like what they see and won't want go back to the old dashboard. For a limited time, they will be able to revert, but Blogger will make the change permanent for everyone eventually.

"In about two weeks from today, all Blogger accounts that haven’t yet made the switch will be upgraded to the new user interface. You will be able to opt-out at any time by clicking the 'Switch back' link; however, all accounts will eventually be permanently upgraded," Google explained.
