Blogger has just added a couple of new gadgets which have been in Draft so far. Both gadgets, Popular Posts and Blog's Stats, leverage the new stats feature introduced a few months ago which has recently been made available to everyone.

"Last month we released two new stats gadgets to the Blogger in Draft testing ground; after hearing your feedback and making a few tweaks, we’re happy to announce that they are both now ready for the main stage," Blogger's Brett Wiltshire announced.

"The new-and-improved Popular Posts and Blog’s Stats gadgets can be added to your blog right now from the Gadget Directory by clicking Add a gadget from the Design | Page Elements tab," he explained.

"Both of these gadgets take advantage of the traffic data that is being collected by Blogger Stats and provide an easy way for you to pass that info on to the readers of your blog," he added.

Popular Posts is exactly what you'd expect, it's a gadget that lists the most popular posts on your blog. It uses the data gathered by the stats feature to determine which posts rank the best.

The gadget can be customized to show only the posts from a specific time period, the past seven or 30 days, or from all time. You can also set the number of posts you'd like it to display.

The Blog's Stats gadgets is pretty self-explanatory as well, it enables you to show of your blog's traffic. It can display the page views from the past week or month or from when Blogger started keeping track, in May this year. There are a number of display modes available as well.

Both gadgets rely on the traffic data Blogger now collects. On the new Stats tab in the Blogger dashboard, you'll be able to see the visits to your blog or specific posts, see traffic sources and other visitor data.
