Blizzard, the creators of World of Warcraft, the most important subscriber based MMO in the world of gaming, have said that they are ready to impart some of their wisdom to Bungie, the creators of the well known Halo game universe, who are now set to work on a new intellectual property with publisher Activision.

Bungie has entered an exclusive agreement over the next ten years and is working on an unannounced project.

Speaking at the official BlizzCon event Rob Pardo, the executive vice president of design at Blizzard, has said, offered to provide expertise, saying “There are a lot of ifs there. It would have to be a very specific proposal.”

He added, “That said, Activision is in the family and Bungie is doing stuff for Activision. If they called us up and wanted some advice or wanted to have a conversation, absolutely, but I do that with a lot of my game developer friends throughout the industry.”

It's not clear whether the Blizzard executive actually knows that the Bungie project will be a MMO or whether he is just speculating about it especially considering his guarded statements that “I really have no idea – that’s a lot of speculation. It’s possible, I guess.”

Activision has not talked about a possible launch date for the new Bungie made video game, with some believing that 2012 is a possible date.

Blizzard itself is said to be working on a new MMO, in no way related to World of Warcraft, which could also be released in 2012, but in the meantime the developers are also said to deliver a new expansion for its most popular game.

It would not be a surprise to see Bungie and Blizzard work together on a new game, maybe tackling the yet unconquered space of first person shooter massive multiplayer game, drawing on both the strength of both companies.
