BlauPunkt, one of the leaders on the German technology dedicated market, has announced the availability of its brand new and full-featured Nav56E alias TravelPilot Rome NAV56E, renowned in Europe.

This is not a common navigational device, not only because it is made by the Germans, but also because it can be used as a radio, and because it comes bundled with no less than ten CDs, each representing a European map.

More than that, BlauPunkt's latest TravelPilot includes a high resolution TFT screen, zoom functionality, the fastest/shortest route option, and an FM/MW/LW tuner that will be your companion on long trips.

But the German manufacturer also retailed recently other high-tech car audio power amplifiers - the ProComponent PCA series - that offer separate audio input connections for iPods, portable MP3 players, or portable navigation systems.

The Blaupunkt ProComponent PCA line consists of three models, the PCA265, PCA465, and PCA1350 rated at 2x65 Watts, 4x65 Watts, and 1x300 watts, respectively. All three have conventional line-level RCA inputs and high-level inputs that can be driven by the radio's speaker outputs.

"While all car audio amplifiers are designed to deliver more power to the loudspeakers," said George R. Velez, Marketing Manager, Blaupunkt USA, "the these PCA amplifiers also provide a simple but effective way to support portable music players and navigation systems without changing radios or compromising performance by using an FM adaptor."

It seems that the reinforced Class AB circuitry is stable into 2-ohm low-impedance loads, the crossover filters, both high- and low-pass, are continuously variable from 50 to 250 Hz and that and the multichannel amps can be bridged to achieve higher output levels.
