The release of the highly-anticipated BladeStorm: Nightmare in Europe has just been moved back by a few weeks, publisher Koei Tecmo confirmed.

This is the second European release that Koei postpones in the last couple of days. We reported earlier this week that Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires launch was delayed to February 27, though it was originally slated for a January 30 release.

Well, it looks like BladeStorm: Nightmare hasn’t been delayed by that much, as Koei Tecmo announced the new release date for Europe is now March 20. Considering the previous launch date was set for March 6, it means European players will only have to wait two more weeks for it.

Along with the new European launch date, Koei Tecmo claims it has released new assets for BladeStorm: Nightmare, which are meant to offer fans of glimpse at the character mode and Troop Command battle system that is supposed to make the game stand out in the strategy genre.

However, we already know most of the information provided, once again, by Koei Tecmo as new stuff. Still, for those out of the loop, here is a quick recap.

The US release may be set for March 17

The battle system in BladeStorm: Nightmare has been improved and players will now be allowed to control up to four army units at the same time. Also, units can be repositioned at any time and players can give them orders that will help the mission succeed.

For example, you will be able to order your military units to attack from a certain angle, hold a position or group with another unit. Any of the units can be commanded in real time, or combined in a 200 soldier troop for a charged attack.

Last but not least, the new Nightmare mode. This is an “original fantasy scenario involving battling and controlling armies of mythical creatures.”

BladeStorm: Nightmare is now expected to arrive in Europe on March 20. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation 3 on the same time. Keep in mind that the PlayStation 3 version will only be available in digital form.
