Good news for those who've paid for Blackguards Early Access, as the game has just been updated with a comprehensive patch that fixes lots of the crash bugs reported by players.

More importantly, the latest patch for Blackguards, Daedalic's first turn-based strategy, brings some much needed balancing adjustments.

Lots of players have been complaining by the fact that the game is too hard even on the lowest level of difficulty, which is Normal by the way.

In order to address some of the issues that have affecting the gameplay experience developers launch a major patch a few weeks ahead of the final version's release. Check out below the full list of changes included in this patch:

General - Fixed a problem where certain savegames couldn't be loaded anymore. - Some minor bugs in cutscenes have been fixed. - Some dialogues have been fixed. - Some text- and NoKey-errors have been fixed.

Blocker / Crashes - Fixed a blocker in the “Charyb'Yzz” sidequest. - All pieces of Black Metal can be obtained correctly now. - Fixed a bug that made Areimanios inaccessible for some players. - “Where” stone is now obtained correctly again from Denndrim Forest.

Interface and Text - Added new indicator for spells and special abilities that are not learned yet, or cannot be learned. - Added function to drop items via “delete” key. - Stat changes from wounds are now shown when hovering wounded characters. - Spell book infobox now shows if the spell is already learned. - The battle log now resets after restarting a fight.

Balancing - Magic resistance buff of the “Nameless One” buff has been reduced. - Fixed a bug that let bows shoot without arrows. - The flashback hunter in the beginning of chapter 3 now has a level 1 trap he can actually use. - Kusliker Lamellar set has been fixed. - Changed Takates starting skill and spendable AP to make him more flexible. - Reworked looted money from fights and values of some items, especially spell books.
