Federal Communications Commission approved recently the new smartphone Blackberry Pearl 8100 for USA use.

Altough its features have been withheld from the public, some of them leaked on the Internet, so we are now able to reveal some of them. Thinner then a RAZR, Pearl features a 1.3 megapixel camera, with online storage of photos, extensive voice recognition and corporate data access. The SureType keyboard allows customers to type and send their messages a lot faster. The screen is capable to display 240 x 260 pixel resolution with 65k color. It has 64 MB of internal memory with micro SD for expansion and support for MP3 ring tone support. In addition to using GSM/GPRS networks, the Pearl will reportedly offer the slightly faster EDGE standard.

Its accessories include SB cable for charging and PC synchronization Travel Charger and Holster. Apparently the smartphone is expected to be available for sale on September 18.
