Starting today, Canadians can purchase the new BlackBerry Z30 smartphone in their country on the networks of wireless carriers Bell and TELUS.

BlackBerry Z30 is the latest smartphone that Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry launched with the BlackBerry 10 operating system loaded on top.

The flagship device is also the largest handset that the company has ever released, packing a 5-inch HD touchscreen display.

The specifications list of BlackBerry Z30 also includes a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, complemented by 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. Furthermore, the handset features a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage.

BlackBerry Z30 was also launched with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, capable of 1080p full HD video recording, as well as with a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

Additionally, the handset comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, built-in GPS receiver, and support for 4G LTE networks. It also features BlackBerry Natural Sound technology for an enhanced communication experience.

The smartphone’s battery can deliver up to 11.8 hours of talk time, or up to 12 days of standby time. BlackBerry Z30 measures 140.7 x 72 x 9.4 mm and weighs 170 grams.

It runs under BlackBerry OS 10.2, providing users with fast access to things that are important to them, including conversations with contacts, social networks, and news.

“With one swipe you can peek into all your messages from wherever you are. Then choose to dip into your messages in more detail or simply return to what you were doing, without missing a beat,” TELUS explains.

“Discover previously unheard nuances and variations in tone and get more out of every conversation with the new BBM Video with BlackBerry Natural Sound technology.”
