BlackBerry fans in India will be happy to know that the Canadian company has already confirmed that it will officially introduce the Z30 full-touch smartphone on October 24.

IBNLive reports that BlackBerry is expected to make other important announcements as well on the same date, though there are no details on the nature of these statements. We suspect that the handset maker will announce the launch of the BlackBerry 10.2 update in India.

There’s also a slim chance that it will resume the rollout of BBM for iOS and will finally launch the Android version of BlackBerry Messenger. Keep in mind though that these are only speculations, so take everything with a grain of salt.

Unfortunately, no pricing has been announced for the BlackBerry Z30 in India, but we expect that more info will emerge in the next couple of days.

The Z30 is the first smartphone to come with BlackBerry 10.2 OS out of the box, but those who already own a BlackBerry 10 device don’t have any reasons to upgrade, as the rollout of the 10.2 update has just started in Singapore.

Anyway, the Z30 is a pretty decent device and will probably prove popular on the Indian market if BlackBerry doesn’t overprice it.

BlackBerry Z30 is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960T Pro Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

In addition, the smartphone sports a large 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 294ppi (pixel density).

The device comes with 16GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Another strong point of the Z30 is the high-capacity 2880 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 384 hours of standby time or up to 25 hours of talk time (18 hours in 3G mode).
