The BlackBerry Tour 9630 is one of the latest smartphones released into the wild this year from Canadian handset maker Research In Motion. Already available in the United States from a series of carriers, it seems that the device will soon come to the offering of a smaller wireless operator, namely U.S. Cellular.

The new BlackBerry smartphone can be already spotted on the carrier's website, where all of its specifications are listed, yet there are no official details available on a possible release date. However, the launch cannot be too far ahead, considering that the Tour has been put on sale through Sprint and Verizon in the US and Telus and Bell in Canada only a few days after it was rumored to be getting ready to take off.

The specification list of the BlackBerry Tour 9630 might not be a mystery to most of you, yet they show that U.S. Cellular subscribers will soon receive a rather attractive smartphone. A 480 x 360 pixel display, a backlit 35-key QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with flash and auto focus are among the goodies that Tour will bring to the carrier's users.

At the same time, they will also be able to enjoy Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, as well as support for CDMA2000 EVDO Rev A, a trackball for navigation, 256 MB of flash memory, MicroSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, speakerphone, dedicated Send/Menu/Escape/End Keys and Left and Right Convenience Keys, as well as a media player.

Internet browsing, email support, synchronization of contacts, appointments and tasks with a desktop PC and other features are also present with the device, as well as a 1400 mAhr battery that can offer up to five hours of talk time or up to 14 days of standby time. Stay tuned to learn when U.S. Cellular will join forces with other carriers that have the BlackBerry Tour available for their users.
