Problems in paradise?

It looks like Research in Motion (RIM) has got itself a great problem to handle, as its BlackBerry smartphones are driving them into a new outage. This is the second time when the company experiences problems and might prove to be a greater problem than initially thought.

BlackBerry owners from New York and Washington have been receiving a "Blackberry data connection refused" error every time they try to access their emails. The problem is even greater, as most people owning this type of smartphones are usually in the business class and use the handsets for better managing their office work. They rely on their mobile phones for this and seeing such bad services coming from RIM might take away the previous appreciation.

It is not nearly as bad as Nokia's faulty battery issue that has taken its toll on the confidence of many people up to this point. Still, the outage issue keeps coming back on RIM, making them look bad in front of all the users that liked their services until now.

Almost a month ago, reports started coming in from all over the interwebs that BlackBerry handsets experienced an outage. It was not known who was worth to bear the blame, although users of the devices looked first of all towards RIM. The issue came to an end and everything seemed to be just fine, but it looks like it was only a short term situation. RIM handles the BlackBerry BIS network, which made them the main scapegoats in the entire matter.

RIM is currently trying to find a solution to this issue, in order to start again providing their email services to BlackBerry users. It's not the first time when the company experiences this type of problems and there are high chances that it will not be the last either.
