In summer 2010, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion launched its latest mobile operating system flavor, the BlackBerry OS 6, which was put on the first handset from the company to pack a sliding design, the Blackberry Torch, and which is now available for some other devices from the leading handset vendor as well.

The new platform version has just leaked for some of the company's order devices, including the Blackberry Bold 9700, the Curve 9300 and the Pearl 3G (9100/9105).

BlackBerry OS 6.0.0.424 now available for these mobile phones, as separate downloads for each of them, bringing a nice range of goodies to users, even if in an unofficial manner.

Since this is a leaked software, those users who chose to download and install it on their devices would do so at their own risk. Flashing the handset with unofficial releases might cause damage to the device, and users would also void warranty for it.

However, it case there are BlackBerry owners who would like to move forth with the installation, they should consider backing up all data on their handsets before launching the process, so as to make sure that no important files are lost.

Unfortunately, no exact changelog for the newly leaked OS flavor emerged into the wild, but the guys over at BBLeaks say that the software comes with a new BBM version (5.0.1.45) included in the package for Bold 9700 and Pearl 3G (9100/9105).

All in all, the new leaked OS flavor should be able to offer a nice experience to all of those Bold 9700, Curve 9300 and Pearl 3G owners who would give it a try.

If you are interested in getting the new firmware on your BlackBerry device, keep in mind that this is not an official release, and that you would be the only one responsible for any malfunctions that might appear.

More info on these leaks, as well as download links for each of them, can be found on BBLeaks, here for Bold 9700, here for Curve 9300, and here for Pearl 3G.
