It looks like Koodo Mobile is among the few regional carriers that will receive some BlackBerry 7 love, as the carrier plans to offer the Curve 9360 soon.

Although the Curve 9360 has been left out from Research in Motion's (RIM) recent official announcement, it seems that multiple Canadian carrier will release it next month.

Bell is also expected to launch the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in September, but no rumors have emerged yet regarding the phone's exact release date.

However, as Koodo Mobile has already dropped the prices for the Curve 3G in order to start retail the next generation Curve 9360, it looks like this will be the first Canadian carrier to offer it.

According to a leaked internal document, BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be available for a suggested retail price of $300, but it may be cheaper with the Tab.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 is powered by RIM's latest BlackBerry 7 operating system and comes with a small 2.4-inch display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution support.

Obviously, the phone features a full portrait QWERTY keyboard and is equipped with an 800MHz processor.

Unlike its BlackBerry 7 twin brothers that are powered by 1.2Ghz CPUs, Curve 9360 is tagged as a mid-level BlackBerry smartphone.

The phone will also embed an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.

Even though the phone may seem outdated ahead of launch, we should take into consideration that fact that RIM is trying to offer customers affordable BlackBerry 7 smartphones as well.

Those who cannot afford the more advanced BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9810 and 9860 can turn to Curve series, which should be accessible.

All in all, Koodo Mobile's decision to carry the Curve 9360 is more than welcomed, especially that all the major carrier are now more concerned about the high-end BlackBerry smartphones.
