Among the wireless carriers in Canada which have confirmed plans to make the new BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone available for purchase for its customers, we can count TELUS too, in addition to Virgin Mobile and Rogers.

The wireless carrier has already put the new device on a coming soon page on its website, though they did not offer specific info on when the device might be released on its network.

The new BlackBerry Curve 9360 was unveiled to the world on Tuesday, when Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion said that it should prove an affordable options for users looking to upgrade to a new device.

The handset was also said to be on its way to wireless carriers in Canada as soon as this month, and TELUS might be one of the operators set to release it in the next week or so.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 will arrive on the Canadian market as a thin device capable of offering increased performance capabilities when compared to its predecessors, courtesy of a fast application processor that RIM has packed inside it.

Not to mention that it will hit the shelves with the new BlackBerry 7 OS on board, which sports a wide range of enhancements when compared to previous flavors of the platform.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 features an ergonomic design, a 2.8-inch display, which is complemented by a QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy typing, and a trackpad for fast navigation.

Moreover, the handset comes with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, and with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording.
