After releasing the BlackBerry Curve 8330 in Mexico, via Iusacell, Research in Motion has announced the availability of the new smartphone for the Indian market too. The Curve 8330 is offered in India together with Reliance Communications, in its World Edition. This means it can operate on both the GSM and CDMA networks from across India.

As lots of other handsets produced by Research in Motion, BlackBerry Curve 8330 is a business-meets-multimedia handset. The 8330 comes in a fashionable silver case and its features include: a full QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation system, advanced email and Web capabilities, Instant Messaging, organizer, a 320 x 240 pixel TFT display, media player, MMS capabilities, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, digital zoom and video recording, Bluetooth 2.0, noise cancellation technology, voice-activated dialing, speakerphone, USB and microSD or microSDHC card support for up to 8GB.

RIM is very pleased to be working with Reliance to launch the BlackBerry Curve 8330 in India."

Reliance offers the new RIM smartphone for a retail price of 25,990 INR (around $610 or 390 Euros).
