T-Mobile UK has recently announced the future availability of RIM's latest flagship smartphone, the BlackBerry Bold 9000. The carrier said that the new handset would be on sale, both online and in its shops, starting September; hence, its subscribers will have to wait a bit longer than the ones of T-Mobile Germany and T-Mobile Austria, where the Bold is already available.

The British T-Mo did not announce the price for the new BlackBerry, but users should expect it to be similar to the one in Germany and Austria, about 459.95 Euros (360 GBP) without a contract agreement.

"As greater number of businesses recognizes the benefits of mobile working, demand for mobile broadband connectivity speeds is escalating rapidly," said Oliver Chivers, Head of Business Marketing, T-Mobile UK. "T-Mobile customers using the BlackBerry Bold smartphone will have access to one of the most innovative mobile business devices on the market supported by a network that independent tests reveal delivers a superior mobile broadband experience. For the business world, this translates into opportunities to extend the boundaries of productivity and efficiency."

BlackBerry Bold is the most advanced RIM smartphone to date, offering a range of features that no other BlackBerry does. For example, the Bold is the first Canadian-made smartphone to feature HSDPA connectivity together with Wi-Fi and internal GPS. Furthermore, the handset comes with a 480 x 320 pixels display, trackball navigation, a full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, BlackBerry email, document viewer, Music and Video players, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, 1GB of internal memory and so on.

While T-Mobile's UK subscribers will have to wait until September to get a BlackBerry Bold, it seems that Orange UK will release the smartphone earlier, on August 16 - but this has not been confirmed yet. In any case, the Bold will surely be soon available across the UK, which is definitely a good thing.
