Along with a flurry of Android-based mobile phones, wireless carrier Verizon is also expected to bring to the market new BlackBerry devices soon, one of which would be the BlackBerry Bold 9930, the twin brother of BlackBerry Bold 9900.

The smartphone will pack support for the carrier's CDMA network, along with all of the specifications and capabilities that BlackBerry Bold 9900 should arrive on shelves with.

Apparently, it should not be too long before Verizon will make the new device available for purchase on its airwaves, although no official announcement on the matter emerged for the time being.

We already knew that Sprint was set to bring the CDMA flavor of RIM's latest smartophone to the US market in the near future, but it seems that it won't be the only carrier to make the move.

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 has just made an appearance into the wild with Big Red's logo on its front, which leaves little room for doubts on the matter.

For the time being, specific info on when would the smarphone become available for purchase, or on the price tag it would feature when released on shelves did not emerge, but all might be unveiled in the near future, rumor has it.

As one of the first devices in RIM's lineup to arrive on the market with the new BlackBerry OS 7 platform, the Bold 9900 sports appealing hardware specifications, such as a fast 1.2GHz application processor.

The handset sports the same design as the previous Bold devices, but pairs the QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen display.

The smartphone comes with 8 GB of on-board memory, 768 MB of RAM, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, and a five-megapixel photo snapper with support for 720p HD video recording.

It also arrives on shelves with a 1230 mAh battery inside, NFC capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g/n connectivity options.
