The BlackBerry Bold 2, also known as Bold 9700 or Onyx, is the second smartphone from Research In Motion that has made an official appearance on the web today, following the recently spotted web page the Storm 2 9550 benefits from. As previously expected, the Bold 2 is set to come to the market in November, or at least this is what T-Mobile Germany shows on its website.

The sequel has been spotted on the Internet quite a few times before, and now it is finally official. Unfortunately, the German wireless carrier only says that it will come to the market in November, and does not deliver specific details on the exact availability or price tag of the device, yet one should rest assured that the handset will soon surface on other websites as well.

Most of you should have already encountered the Bold 9700 into the wild during the past few weeks, and you might already know that it is expected to sport a TFT display that boasts a 480 x 360 pixel resolution and support for 65k colors, that it features a QWERTY keypad and measures 109 x 60 x 14 mm while weighing 120 grams.

The feature list of the new device should also be already known to you, such as the fact that it comes around with great email and messaging capabilities, including SMS and MMS, that it includes an audio player, quad-band GPRS / EDGE / UMTS connectivity, as well as with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 also comes with a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, USB port, headset support, as well as with a MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space (T-Mobile delivers it with a 2GB memory card included in the package). Since the handset has been already listed on the operator's website, all the necessary details on its exact launch date, pricing and availability should also emerge in the near future, so stay tuned.
