Could it be that Verizon found Sprint's black version of the world's slimmest smartphone, Motorola Q, better looking? There must be a reason why they decided to present a black Motorola Q to their subscribers as well.

The difference is that Verizon's Q wasn't just transformed from silver to black, but it also brings something new to its users. It comes with a software update, named MOL2, that improves the handheld's battery life and adds job dial control via Bluetooth headset.

Therefore, Verizon QWERTY keyboard fans will soon be able to get their Q in either black or silver and take advantage of the same nice features the handheld has to offer, such as the 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, Mp3 player, high-quality stereo speakers, Bluetooth and Infrared for Connectivity and the indispensable MiniSd slot for memory expansion.

Windows Mobile 5.0 powered Motorola Q is rumored to be arriving on Sprint in early January, while Verizon is supposed to be releasing its black rubberized version of the same handset on the web on December the 12th and around the 12th of January in stores and will cost an extra $50 compared to its silver brother.
