The latest iteration of Microsoft's enterprise integration and connectivity server solution has been wrapped up and is scheduled for general availability in just a few days, come May 1, 2009. However, BizTalk Server 2009 is already up for grabs via Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN). At the same time, the Redmond company is offering a 120-day free trial version of BizTalk Server 2009, and is inviting customers to test drive the solution at no cost.

“In today’s economy, it is more important than ever for Microsoft to deliver innovation that drives immediate customer value,” explained Dan Neault, general manager of Microsoft SQL Server and BizTalk Server at Microsoft. “With BizTalk Server 2009, Microsoft has delivered an enterprise-ready scalable platform that enables our customers across the globe to more efficiently connect processes, systems and data, which is critical to reducing costs and enabling informed business decisions across their organizations.”

BizTalk Server 2009 comes in no less than nine localized versions, with support for the following languages: Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Available in four SKUs, Enterprise, Standard, Branch and Developer, BizTalk Server 2009 editions will feature the same prices as their precursors, despite the new features and enhancements delivered by Microsoft.

“Key improvements in the BizTalk Server 2009 release include: new Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience to make development teams more productive; new adapters and numerous enhancements that provide increased enterprise connectivity; new RFID mobile capabilities that will enable innovative solutions to drive business value. As the sixth release for this mature server product, BizTalk Server 2009 provides a solution that allows organizations to more easily connect disparate systems,” explained a member of the BizTalk Team.
