But the news is that they're opening an office in Mountain View now - that's where Google has its home too! Their new office is going to act as the company's global marketing headquarters. They are about to open a west coast North American sales office as well. Their expansion in Silicon valley just points out how great a company BitDefender is and that they are going to get better now, being so close to some of the world's most renowned IT experts.

Since opening the office in August we have already attracted employees in senior positions from some of our competitors. Being in Silicon Valley also provides easy access to partnership and OEM sales opportunities with other global IT companies as well as close proximity to the industry's venture capital and financial community."
The new office is a small one and they don't plan on making it too big either. They now have 8 full-time employees working there and they want to get to 15 or 20 by the end of the next year. The office is managed by Global Marketing Director Beau Roberts. I don't know if you've ever heard of this guy, but trust me, he's no newbie - he's been in the industry for 17 years now and had senior-roles in huge companies, like McAfee, Trend Micro, Computer Associates and Cheyenne Software.
