Developer Bioware somewhat confirmed yesterday that the second patch for its smash hit Dragon Age: Inquisition will hit PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One on December 9.

Given the fact the first patch was focusing on providing long-term gameplay and stability improvements, the second patch is going to address some serious issues reported by players since the game was launched back in November.

The first details on the contents of the patch that should be pushed live later today have just been released by Bioware, although the full changelog has yet to be published.

First of all, if you're playing Dragon Age: Inquisition on any of the platforms, you already know that the game has some serious control issues, especially if you're playing on the PC.

The keyboard & mouse controls are a bit off and makes almost all battles a chore rather than something that should be fun. Obviously, Bioware has already acknowledged the problem but claims it can't fix it all at once.

The good news is patch number 2 includes the first range of fixes towards addressing the feedback received on the PC controls. Even though not everything will work smooth after the patch, Bioware claims that the fixes in patch 2 will give them a more stable base upon which to work.

Soon after patch 2 makes it live, developers will focus on improving PC mouse & keyboard controls even further, so patch number 3 will contain even more fixes to address this issue.

Also, today's update for Dragon Age: Inquisition will contain stability improvements, which are supposed to remove various crashes, freezes, and audio/voice glitches.

Developer promises more updates will be delivered to the game in the coming weeks

Gameplay improvements in patch number 2 will further enhance conversations, quests, plot states, combat, UI, camera, controls, follower / enemy AI and path finding, as well as exploits, radar and search.

As mentioned earlier, numerous control & UI fixes will be included in the patch as well, along with fixes to some hitching, improved Mantle performance and fixes for graphical glitches.

The multiplayer aspect of the game will be updated as well with many gameplay improvements in many areas, including animations, game mode bugs, stat reporting and stability / crash fixes.

In the same piece of news, Bioware announced that beyond patch two, they will continue to deliver as many patches as possible to make Dragon Age: Inquisition as bug-free as possible.

In this regard, they confirmed that the next patch would contain an increase of the percentage chance of banter firing. Many players have reported issues with party banter firing, so Bioware promises to fix the problem in patch number 3.
