Video game developer BioWare announces that it is launching a new initiative designed for cosplayers and other passionate fans, which will allow them to get access to character kits for the Dragon Age series, including high-resolutions images with lots of detail.

An official blog announcement from the company explains that, "We want to give fan artists–cosplayers, illustrators, painters, writers, cake decorators, everyone–access to detailed, descriptive, high resolution character designs before the game is released. These will be distributed so you can have them available online or print them out and keep in your garage, workshop, sewing room, or creative space to reference."

The first released character kit is a ball gown for Morrigan the witch, which has been a particular favorite of the cosplayers who take inspiration from Dragon Age.

BioWare adds, "Please keep an eye out for new Dragon Age: Inquisition Character Kits in the coming weeks and months. You’ll see new and familiar faces that I hope create discussion and curiosity about what is yet to come, just like our demos do. If there’s anything you’d like us to include in the Kits, let us know!"

It will be interesting to see how creative the community can be after it gets access to a wider number of character kits.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to arrive during the fall of this year on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The title will take gamers to Orlais for the first time in the series as they try to close a massive tear in the Fade that allows demons to pour into the world of the living.

At the same time, players will have to deal with the conflict that affects the Chantry, the Templars and the Mages and keep peace.
