Here are some news for all you iPhone owners and Bing searchers out there: Bing has launched a new update for the Bing for Mobile iPhone and iPod Touch App.

After releasing the Bing Travel Planner beta for Outlook and the Blackberry app update, the search engine thought it would be nice to have the Travel and the Maps apps on the iPhone updated too.

So besides other features of this update, here are the Travel and the Map options, re-designed.

Andy Chu, from the Bing for Mobile team, writes on the Search Blog that Bing customers passionate about the Price Predicator or their PCs, can find the feature on their iPhone now, along with other Bing Travel features.

It is rather simple, once you have downloaded the update from iTunes, you go to the Bing for mobile iPhone app's home screen and click on Travel.

On your screen will be all the top deals from your town airport, along with last minute and weekend deals, and if you are already on your way to the airport, you can use Bing Travel's flight status feature and see if your plane is on time.

If you don't have a ticket yet and you are curious to use the Deals calendar, you will see when the super prices will be available; and if you have set your mind to a certain 'voyage', you can use flight search and find the best fare.

There is also an 'estimated price' preview, so that you can see alternate dates and airports and before buying your ticket you should go take a look on the Price Predictor, and see when is the best time to buy it.

But in order to get to the nearest airport in time, you should know where you're going, and where you should make a right or a left.

For this, there is the update for Maps, and it's different from what you might have seen until now.

The accent is on what the user needs to see, this is why the app offers a larger background, with easier-to-see information on traffic, business listings, pushpins, labels and much more.

The font size is bigger for larger roads and now you have neighborhood labels so you know in which neighborhood you are, in any city.

There is also a Nearby feature, with enhanced map and labels so you can “navigate” through a neighborhood and quickly find a local listing.

And as you have an iPhone, you can, of course, easily switch between the map view and the list view on the map.

These are some of the new features but make sure to try all the others, like the voice, social or image search and visual scanning.
