Turning to Bing to find movie information is as close as possible to a red carpet search experience, with the relevant content in the focus of the search / decision engine. On November 23rd, 2010, Microsoft kicked Bing Movies up a notch with the introduction of a Bing Feature Update.

Bing Movies is a part of the Bing Entertainment vertical which also deals with a range of additional content from movies to games.

“This week we are releasing an update to Bing Movies, which introduces a redesigned interface that streamlines how you search and select the movies you’re looking to watch,” revealed Nate Buggia, from the Bing Movies team.

“Bing Movies organizes the top movie information within the new interface letting you go a step deeper based on your needs.”

But by all means, also head over to Bing Movies and give the decision engine a try. The software giant has certainly made it extremely simple to discover and access information on movies from a simple synopsis to trailers, but also to the theaters in which movies are playing.

Buggia offered a few highlights of the Bing Movies Feature Update:

“- Showtimes: Our new Showtimes page makes it incredibly easy to see which movies are playing at theatres near you. Instead of having to go from theatre result to theatre result trying to find movie times, with Bing Movies you pick a movie and are served the showtimes at the closest theatres in one snap.

- Trailers: The new Trailer page provides you with the latest trailers, clips and interviews at a glance.

- Reviews: The Reviews page combines reviews from top critic outlets like the NY Times and LA Times with those from users, giving you a quick and comprehensive way to determine whether the movie is worth the price of admission.”
