Feud between the two rockers and former lovers is reignited

Back in the ‘90s, Billy Corgan and Courtney Love were nothing but good friends, and even lovers at some point. The two stuck with each other through thick and thin, and Corgan even wrote a couple of songs that are now included on Love’s latest album. These songs are again at the center of a feud between the two, a feud Corgan reignited on his Twitter the other day.

Seemingly unprovoked (though a previous tweet from Courtney might have set him off, as it said something about waiting on a man whose every whim she fulfilled but he did not pay heed to that), Corgan verbally attacked his former friend and lover, going, as celebrity blogs put it, straight for the jugular. Not only did he say it out loud that she shouldn’t talk about music until she’s able to write her own songs, but he also takes a shot at her custody battle, which still continues.

“Thought #1: my face is my face, my heart is my heart, my money is my money. Oh, and my songs are MY songs+If you can’t write your own songs? Thought #2: if you can’t write your own songs maybe you should just be happy that you fooled someone into doing your work for you... Or, thought #3:maybe you should go someone nice+live off your husband’s money, u know the money he made for writing all those great songs. Thought #4: when you issue someone an apology on YOUR facebook page you might actually mean it and take responsibility for it,” Corgan wrote.

And he didn’t stop here either. “Thought #5: the world is aware of your lack of responsibility, as seen in the gov’t taking away your parental right. Only you could abandon! Only u could abandon such a beautiful, incredible child who is smarter than u, cooler than u, and better than u. Oops, did I say too much? Thought #6: so have your moment, burn up in the sun that laughs at u as equally as it appears to celebrate u+sleep knowing u have no honor,” the rocker further says.

Though many expected her to post an equally stinging tweet (at the very least), Courtney Love is taking the high road on the feud, saying only that she’s being nice to Corgan and he, in return, is being mean. However, if that’s how he wants it, then that’s how he shall have it, Love also says, refusing to get into a bitter war of words.
