Officials describe that the much-talked-about motorcycle rally, which has ended in a man left paraplegic and a second man being beaten up, has not been allowed by the city. Hundreds of 911 calls poured in as the bikers drove around on Sunday.

A group of bikers rallied around a Range Rover when the driver clipped one of their own. A biker attack on the SUV followed, and the incident has been caught on dashcam.

Web Pro News writes that the incident took place during the unauthorized Hollywood Stuntz rally. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly described that the event was supposed to take place in Times Square on Sunday.

However, the bikers were not granted a permit to keep it, due to other altercations in past years.

“They drove down Broadway [with] over 1,000 motorcycles, dirt bikes, quads. [...] So there was an intention to do that again this year, but because of [police] checkpoints and enforcement in the outer boroughs, they weren’t able to make it,” Kelly says.

Even so, police seized several motorcycles and made 15 arrests. In addition to that, at least one arrest was made when a biker gang beat up the SUV driver mentioned above.
