Italic Pig, the developer behind the recent Schrodinger's Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark puzzle platformer, confirms that it's going to debut a bit patch for the game to resolve some issues with the mechanics, while adding a specific controller support option.

Schrodinger's Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark launched last year and delivered a pretty fun puzzle platformer experience with an outlandish physics theme. Besides giving players the chance to explore different environments, the game also had a novel mechanic that relied on combining particles called quarks to generate different abilities or objects.

As we mentioned in our recent review, the game does an admirable job, but a few issues with the platforming mechanics, not to mention a poor built-in controller support, weigh it down.

A major patch is coming soon

Now, Italic Pig's Kevin Beimers confirms to Softpedia that a big update is coming for Schrodinger's Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark to solve these two big problems with the game.

First up, the actual patch is set to appear in just a few days, as the studio has received quite a bit of feedback concerning these two aspects of the game.

"I just thought I should let you know that we are only a day or two away from patching up a couple of your thumbs-downs, namely controller support and platformer control issues. You’re not the first to mention about the platforming physics, so we’ve been working on honing the movement so that he stops quicker in the air and on the ground for better precision. Also, full controller support through the game, including the tutorial," he explains in a comment on our review.

It's still unclear when the actual patch is going to drop, so it can surface on Steam either tomorrow or next week.

You can expect to hear a few more details about the actual update in the following days. Until then, Schrodinger's Cat is still a pretty solid game that should delight puzzle platformer fans.
