14 DAY TRIAL // Britney Haynes competed on Big Brother in 2010 and 2012 and, though she didn’t win either time, she was fan-favorite because of her sense of humor and easy-going personality. The other day, Britney had some very sad news to share with her fans.
Writing on her official Facebook page, Britney says her 2-month daughter Tilly, her first child with husband Ryan Godwin, has been diagnosed with cancer.
The post seems to have been removed, but several media outlets have already grabbed screenshots of it, so it was no hoax, most likely.
“On September 1st, we were among the daily 720 sets of parents to be absolutely devastated with a Childhood Cancer diagnosis,” Britney wrote.
“Please take the time to pray for all these children, our sweet baby included. We appreciate each and every one,” the TV star added.
Confirming that this was no hoax or a case of celebrity hacking is also a message on Britney’s Twitter feed, which also includes an adorable photo of Tilly, wrapped up, with a bow on her head, sleeping in a basket.
“Thank you for all of the thoughts, wishes, and prayers for my precious girl. She's everything to me,” Britney writes.
She doesn’t offer more details about the type of cancer Tilly has been diagnosed with or whether she’s already in treatment. We assume the parents must be going through hell right now to have time for a proper background to their sad story.
However, both Britney and her husband can count on the support and love of her fans.
Shortly after she made the heartbreaking announcement, a handful of fans took to GoGetFunding and set up a donations page for Tully, which would help the parents pay some of her medical bills.
So far, fans have raised $3,300 (€2,471) through donations and, as the saying goes, every little bit counts.
