This piece of news perfectly illustrates the huge amount of hype “The Big Bang Theory” is currently generating, if it weren't already very obvious from the large number of awards the show keeps picking up.
The hit sitcom from CBS is going all out for its next season as it's announced the appearance of some very important people in the “geeky” circles. “Big Bang” producers spoke with TV Line and revealed that James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher would be appearing on the show for cameo roles.
Earl Jones was the voice of Darth Vader in the original “Star Wars” movies and Carrie played the role of Princess Leia. The two will be portraying themselves in the comedy, crossing paths with cooky scientist Sheldon Cooper.
For fans of the series, the original “Star Wars” films were like the Holy Grail of sci-fi fantasy, so it's understandable why producers would want to add them to the line-up.
Also, the new “Star Wars Episode VIII” is currently in production so this could be a move to increase the hype for the Disney and Lucasfilm production.
