ZTE's flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z9, has just been launched in the United States. Although the device won't be available right away, we at least get to know how much it will cost and when it will go on sale.

According to ZTE, the Nubia Z9 should hit shelves sometime in Q3 2015. The high-end device will be available for prices between $564 and $725 because ZTE Nubia Z9 will be available in three models.

The Nubia Z9 will be available in both black and gold and will sell through select retailers and online. The Classic model (3GB RAM / 32GB ROM) will cost $565, the Elite (4GB / 64GB ROM) will be available for $645, while the Exclusive (fingerprint sensor) will sell for $725.

The Chinese handset maker prides itself with the bezel-less Nubia Z9, which sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 424ppi (pixel per inch).

Snapdragon 810 CPU and either 3GB or 4GB RAM

But the ZTE Nubia Z9 is more than decent when it comes to hardware as well. The smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

Another strong point of the flagship handset is the 16-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and video recording. There's also a no-less-impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front for perfect selfies.

The smartphone will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and Nubia UI 3.0 on top. It will also be powered by a 2,900 mAh non-removable battery.

“Innovation never stops. It has been the major driving force for the development of the smartphone industry. Just two years after being founded, this imagination has allowed nubia to become an industry pioneer in the marketplace.

“Revolution starts from imagination and the launch of the nubia Z9 is just the beginning. In the future, the world will embrace a revolution of smartphone interactive technology,” said Ni Fei, CEO of Nubia.
