Beyonce has rarely been plagued by rumors of diva behavior, but not the same can be said about her mother, Tina Knowles. A new report claims she put on quite a diva act on the set of Beyonce’s latest video, “Best Thing I Never Had.”

The New York Daily News reports that Tina accompanied Beyonce on the set of the video, and made ridiculous demands about how people were supposed to address her and which things were off-limits for “mortals.”

For starters, she insisted that everybody on set addressed her with “Miss Tina” and nothing else. They, however, were only allowed to speak to her if it was deemed necessary.

“Miss Tina” also made quite a fuss when she thought that the extras were getting too close to her daughter, the report argues, though Beyonce didn’t seem to have a problem with it.

“Her real inner prima donna was displayed on Thursday, while the ‘prom scene’ shoot was filmed at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple near the Pratt Institute,” the NYDN writes.

“Tina, who heads the House of Deréon fashion label with her eldest daughter, ‘flipped out on the camera guys for making Beyoncé stand near the [video] extras for too long’ because there was too much conversation going on between takes,” the e-zine says.

Tina didn’t want her daughter to mix with “the lowly extras,” says the same source.

Beyonce obviously didn’t feel the same and was actually having fun talking to the extras and the cast, the report argues.

“[She] was fine with [talking to anyone]. She was making everyone laugh,” the unnamed but reportedly reliable tipster notes.

The NYDN also claims to have it on the same good authority that Tina arrived on the set accompanied by no less than 4 assistants and was all kinds of insufferable to everyone around her.

Calls for comment to “Miss Tina” were not immediately returned.
