14 DAY TRIAL // By now, everyone in the world has seen the video where Beyonce's sister, Solange, takes a few swings at her husband Jay Z in an elevator, after the Met Ball. People have been not as much interested as to why the two were fighting, but as to why Beyonce didn't flinch a muscle through the entire brawl.
Now, it seems that Beyonce is stepping up to the plate and putting her foot down for the first time since the fight occurred, indicating that this isn't by far the first time that this has happened. It just goes to show that you can never tell what goes on behind closed doors.
Star Magazine claims that Beyonce warned her sister Solange numerous times in the past about her explosive temper, and this time she's drawing the line, seeing as how the video had an explosive effect on the image of her marriage and relationship with Jay Z. You'll remember that the press went wild speculating that Beyonce was getting ready to divorce.
The insider claims that Solange “apologizes and says it won't happen again, but it does,” hinting that this is a continual thing. But this time, Beyonce is ready to push things to the next level and she's warning her sister that blood may not come first the next time she decides to lash out at Jay.
“Beyonce made it clear that Solange is never to get violent with Jay again. Jay is her husband and first priority. She doesn’t want to have to choose between them, but if it came down to it, she would,” adds the insider.
In a joint statement released yesterday, Solange and Jay Z both took responsibility for the brawl, claiming that they meanwhile resolved their issues and they were moving forward as a family. The statement failed to address the issue of what exactly caused the attack, but it was sure to mention that Solange had not been acting erratically nor was she drunk.
Oddly, this may have given her a bit of an excuse for her attack, but as it is, it's clear that she's just got some serious temper issues and she needs to seek professional help for that. Lashing out so violently at a man without warning is not normal, regardless of what Jay may have said and done.
It's good to see that Beyonce is sticking up for her man. This enforces the idea that the two aren't actually getting divorced and that their marriage is still going on the right path.
