We've already seen quite a lot of celebrities endorse video games, whether it was part of a new contract between them and a company from that field, or even because they just wanted to show their love for certain titles that they play in order to unwind after a busy day.

The latest famous star to openly talk about her relationship with video games is singer Beyonce Knowles, who has recently filmed an ad for the upcoming Nintendo DS title Rhythm Heaven. She talked with Entertainment Weekly and revealed some very interesting things, like the fact that she was a hardcore Nintendo gamer in her childhood and how she would love a Beyonce-branded Guitar Hero or Rock Band title.

Speaking about her favorite titles, the singer said, “I like all the Wii games. Love Guitar Hero. This reminds me a little bit of a portable Guitar Hero, which is great, because I don't want to carry around a big guitar! Growing up, I liked Tetris. I even like BrickBreaker on the BlackBerry. I am very busy, but I always have time sitting around sets and on tour buses and planes. Usually I use that time to do approvals and other things, but sometimes it’s necessary to take your mind away from all of that. So I make time.”

She then went on to discuss about the age-old question of whether she was better on a guitar than on the Guitar Hero game. “Guitar Hero! At one point I was learning to play guitar, maybe 10 years ago. I wrote "Dangerously in Love" on the guitar. I'm very upset with myself for stopping.” She then revealed that she would love a special edition with her in one of these famous series of music games. “I would love to imagine people playing to my songs. I've actually played some karaoke games with the old Destiny's Child songs. It's so funny, because I don't get great scores. I'm like, “How is that possible?!”

It's really nice to hear that even a popular singer like Beyonce loves to unwind with some video games from time to time. Perhaps a lot more people will understand their big role in our daily lives and stop blaming them for unfortunate events.
