14 DAY TRIAL // Beyonce and Jay Z declined Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding invitation last weekend, under the pretext that they would be spending Memorial Day weekend as a family in the Hamptons. Beyonce, however, did acknowledge the moment on her Instagram page, sending nothing but love and well-wishes to the newlyweds.
She was lying because she really can’t stand Kim, insiders who claim to be familiar with the situation reveal for Radar Online. Even though Beyonce has spent enough time with the reality star and has, at one point, even considered attending the wedding until she found out it would be a genuine media circus, she still hates her.
According to the report, she believes Kim is using her and husband Jay Z “to achieve social status” and, because of this, she never misses a chance to mock her behind her back.
“Bey does not like Kim at all. She’s cool with Kanye, but can’t stand Kim,” says a spy for the celebrity publication. “B calls Kim a ‘scandalous social climbing [expletive]’ behind her back.”
Considering how tight Kanye is with Jay Z, it was very surprising to learn that he didn’t attend the wedding, especially since reports just a day before claimed he had accepted the invite and would even serve as a best man.
Because of this, many assumed that the reason the musical A-list duo decided against traveling to Paris and then Florence, Italy for the wedding weekend was because they still hadn’t welcomed Kim into their circle of friends as one of their own.
Another was Kim’s intention of turning the wedding into a media circus by leaking stories to the press, tipping off the paps on her whereabouts and allowing TV cameras access into all the events, to get footage for her family reality show.
Reports after the nuptials claimed that Jay was in agreement with his wife about Kim’s real status and worth, thinking she was nothing but an opportunist who used Kanye to boost her public profile. He also believed that Kanye, with his talent, wealth and level of fame and respect he’d attained, could do so much better than this.
However, Beyonce and Jay Z weren’t the only A-list stars invited to the wedding who declined to show up. Another major snub came from Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, who cited a previous engagement she could not miss out on for not being there on their big day.
In fact, the whole wedding was pretty D-list, including only a handful of huge names, like Serena Williams, Steve McQueen and John Legend. It also descended quickly into farce, as Kanye and Kim’s egos led to fits of yelling, crying and verbally abusing the staff. Allegedly, of course.
