Beyonce can work some of the most outrageous fashion, be it in real life and in promotional materials, but, in the case of her brand new photospread with Flaunt magazine, it’s the complete lack thereof that stands out.

To put it differently, the diva wows in nothing but glitter and heavy makeup in most photos from the spread.

Attached to this article is just one of the superb shots from the latest issue of the mag. More are available at the link in the first paragraph.

The spread comes accompanied by a brief interview with Beyonce herself, in which she talks about her gay fans (and being a gay icon), her personal life, likes and dislikes, and her much criticized Pepsi endorsement.

The article goes to great lengths praising the singer for her staying power, for the influence she has through her music on whole generations, for her ability to constantly reinvent herself and keep herself relevant.

On the topic, Beyonce says her aim is to provide fans, through her music, “the license to live vicariously, to visualize, to fantasize. To be bigger than yourself, bigger than life.”

As for the controversy that surrounded the announcement that she’d be teaming up with Pepsi, Beyonce (Queen Bey) says people tend to exaggerate.

“Pepsi is a brand I've grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn't encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance,” she says of criticism that she was endorsing a soft drink directly linked to childhood obesity.

“When you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the commercial, I think it's great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you want one. It's all about choices,” the diva adds.
