Fans love Beyonce because they know for a fact she will always, no matter what, put on a wonderful live performance. Music critics too admire and praise the star for it, often referring to her as one of the greatest and most accomplished entertainers of our times. In a video just surfaced, shot earlier this week at a London concert, Beyonce showed again just how much of an entertainer she can be.

Normally, Beyonce’s image is usually associated with glamour, the singer being the epitome of what a diva should be: a singer with excellent vocals who can also dance like there’s no tomorrow, as they say. The last thing one would expect from her, in this context, would be for her to do what is known as the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll gesture and go crowd surfing during one of her live performance.

Yet, this is precisely what Beyonce did during a concert in London earlier this week, as the video below will also confirm. When singing the finishing notes to her smashing hit ballad “Halo,” the singer, still dressed in a sparkly leotard and towering heels, made a leap into the crowd and landed on her fans’ arms. Of course, talk on the Internet claims that the entire thing was staged but, even if so, it still proves that Beyonce is far from the stuck-up diva she was once believed to be.

“Beyonce Knowles believed she could fly by taking a dive through a sold-out crowd of fans during one of her concerts at the O2 Arena on Monday evening. The R&B superstar and wife of rapper Jay-Z crowd-surfed from the stage wearing a black stylish bodysuit with diamond-like rhinestones stitched on it while singing her hit single ‘Halo’ off the album ‘Sasha Fierce.’ Beyonce taking risks?” HipHopRx writes of the crowd surfing moment.

Beyonce’s sister Solange was reportedly so impressed with what she heard of it that she took to Twitter to proclaim her a “bad[expletive]” and to remark upon her ability of crowd surfing while also hitting the same high notes as she does when with feet firmly on the ground. In all fairness, Beyonce does not miss one single note while she’s carried back to the stage. See the video below to convince yourselves.
