They might be scams!

You need to be weary of jobs you can find on the web. And when I say this I'm referring to jobs you can get by e-mail. There are two types of job offers you can get in your inbox - the ones from legitimate websites to which you have subscribed (those are OK) and the spammy ones (which you should be careful about). So, if you've subscribed to some job finding website and you get mails from their bot -it's safe, but when talking about jobs you never asked for - well, there's a problem!

Offers that come via spam torrents are nothing but scams. Spam-scammers will send their messages to lots and lots of people making them job offers that could not be refused if they were for real. As I've seen on the Consumer Affairs website recently, a wave of job-related spam has hit inboxes in the US.

The offer is just great - all you have to do is sit at home, get a check and send 90% of money to another account, while 10% is your fee, no matter how big the check is. That sounds just awesome! Too bad it's not for real. As the same site reports, you will really get a check, only it's fake, so instead of winning the 10% you actually lose money to the scammer - the 90% that you send.

This is why I advised you to be weary. When you get such a message, first ask yourself why somebody you never heard about would offer you such a great job. Do not let yourself get fooled by this, no matter what they say the money is for, or whatever other reasons they might state. Nobody will give you money for nothing, you should know that - such money transfer operations are done by banks for very small fees, so nobody would lose that kind of cash, if they were serious!
