The player was displayed at IFA in Berlin

The main reason I wrote about this MP3 player is the fact that it might actually be the smallest device of this kind I have ever seen (and I've used quite a few). There is not much to say about the manufacturing company. The Swiss manufacturers proudly displayed the device at a recent IFA show in Berlin.

Regarding the MP3 player's design, it's a very simple one, it can be easily worn on a neck chain and it is just 1.7 inches long and a half inch wide, meaning it is a little bit longer than an iPod shuffle, but half as wide.

Unbelievably, the MP3 player weighs only 17 grams, being probably the lightest one on the market. I also appreciate the black glossy design it reveals.

As for its capabilities, surprisingly, the half-ounce player gets no less than six hours of continuous playback off its built-in lithium-battery pack.

There is also an USB 2.0 flash drive compatibility, without any software required and just 1GB of internal capacity, which seems decent, giving the miniature size of the device.

Furthermore, the Zicplay item is compatible with any operating system released after Windows 98. Not to mention it can deal with most popular file formats available on the market, such as MP3, WAV file and probably more. As expected, it can even double itself as a Flash data storage device. As an additional feature, the Microkey also has touch screen interface capabilities, which makes it even more appealing on the market.

This makes me wonder?is the iPod shuffle going to keep its position on the market, as the "World's smallest Mp3 player"?

Sadly, there is no word about pricing and availability details, but since it has already been presented at IFA, it should be out pretty soon.
